Has a PhD in Law and a Masters Degree in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). Lawyer and Law Professor specializing in Intellectual Property, Technology Business, Innovation Law, Industrial Policy, Company Law and Civil Law, with training periods in Germany, the United States and Italy. He is currently the CInO and head of Instituto Butantan Technology Transfer and Intelectual Property Office. Was Legal Director of the Institute for Technological Research (IPT) and senior member of the Editorial of the “Revista dos Tribunais” (RT), Brazil’s largest and most famous Law books publisher. Author of the thesis “Groundings of the Inventor’s Right: Brazilian Historical Perspective”, winner of the nomination by USP Law School in the “USP Highlights” Award (for best thesis) for the biennium 2015-2016.
